A garage is fully enclosed, with walls and a door. A carport is a roof on posts, open at the sides, and it takes a much smaller investment. You still get cover over the car and over the walk to the door.
Do you repair existing carports?
No. We specialize in building new carports and we don’t take on repairs. If the cover you have is failing, ask us about replacing it with a new structure.
Can a carport attach to my house?
Yes. We tie carports into the side of the house or the garage, and we also build them free standing. The shape of the drive and the roofline usually decide which way to go.

How long does a carport take to build?
Once the design is approved and the materials are on site, your project manager sets a date with you and tells you where things stand as the work goes along.
What size carport do I need?
That depends on what you park and how much room you want to open the doors and walk around. We measure the vehicles and the drive during the in home visit, then size the cover from there.
Will a carport keep the rain off?
The roof keeps sun and rain off whatever sits under it. The sides stay open by design, so wind driven rain can still reach the edges. We talk through placement so you get the most cover where you need it.
Can the carport match the rest of my house?
Yes, and that’s the point. We finish the frame, the columns and the trim so the carport reads as part of the home rather than something parked next to it.
