Curb Appeal

Paint Is What Protects Your Siding

Paint on a Houston house works hard. The sun pulls the color flat, the humidity finds every open seam, and by year eight or ten the trim is chalky and the caulk lines have split. That’s the point where paint stops protecting the wood behind it.

We repaint home exteriors the careful way, with the prep done first. Surfaces get cleaned and made ready, everything that’s not getting painted gets covered, and the finish work is sealed at the end. You get a house that looks new from the curb and a coat that holds up to another round of Texas summers.

  • The quote is free and you’re under no obligation once we’ve looked the house over
  • We’ll help you land on colors that actually work with your brick or your siding
  • Sealing and finishing are done properly, because that’s what decides how long the job lasts
  • Our painters are trained to work safely on older homes that were painted with lead

Painting Options

What We Paint and How We Plan It

Every house is different. We look at what you have, then plan the colors, the finish and the prep around it.

Before and after photos of a house repainted yellow with white trim

Siding, Trim and Fascia

Body color on the siding, a second color on the trim, fascia and soffits. That contrast is what makes a repaint look brand new from the street.

Color and Finish Help

Bring your own colors or let our team help you land on shades that complement your brickwork. We also recommend the right finish for each surface.

Prep, Seal and Protect

Prep comes before a drop of paint, and we cover everything that isn’t being painted to keep splatter and overspray off it. Once the paint is on, we seal the finish work.

How It Works

How We Paint a House

Prep is most of the job. Here’s the order the work happens in.

1

Free House Painting Quote

One of our experts comes out, walks around the house and checks the condition of the siding and the trim. You’ll have the price the same day, and the visit doesn’t cost you anything.

2

Colors, Finish and Prep

You pick the colors, with as much help as you want. Then we prep the surfaces and mask off everything that’s staying the way it is.

3

Paint and Walkthrough

Our crew paints, seals the finish work and cleans up the site. Then we go over the whole house with you before we call the job done.

We watch the forecast as we schedule, because latex paint needs it above 60 degrees to cure the way it should.

Houston Weather

Paint That Has to Survive a Houston Summer

What It Costs

What Affects Your Exterior Painting Price

Paint is priced on surface area and condition. A wall that needs repair before primer costs more than one that doesn’t.

Size and Height

Square footage drives most of the total. A two story home also needs more setup and more ladder work than a one story.

Surface Condition

Peeling paint, split caulk lines and weathered wood all take more prep before the first coat can go on.

How Much Gets Painted

Painting just the siding costs less than painting the siding plus the trim, fascia, soffits, doors and garage. You decide what’s included.

Colors and Finish

A big change in color can call for extra coats, and the finish you choose for each surface plays into the price.

Common Questions

What Homeowners Ask About Exterior Paint

How often should I repaint my house?

Plan on every 8 to 10 years with normal wear and tear. Homes in harsher conditions can need it every 3 to 4 years. We tell you where yours stands when we quote it.

Will you help me pick the colors?

Yes. Our experts help you choose a color scheme that complements your brickwork or siding, and they recommend the finish that suits each surface.

What paint do you use?

We have painted Houston homes with Sherwin-Williams for 35 years. Sticking with one line we know well is how we keep the results the same house after house.

Is the painting quote really free?

Yes. We send an expert out to look at your home and price what the project actually needs. The quote is free and it comes with no obligation.

What if my house has lead paint?

A home that hasn’t been repainted since 1978 can have lead based paint. Our painters are trained to work on those homes and to use proper removal techniques, which cuts the risk from lead dust and chips.

How much prep do you do?

Enough to make the coat last. Thorough surface prep is the difference between paint that holds and paint that peels, and we won’t leave a job half done.

FAQ

More Painting Answers

How long does an exterior paint job take?

Once we’ve looked the house over and agreed on what’s being painted, your project manager sets the dates and stays in touch while the painters are on site.

Can you paint through Houston weather?

We plan around it. Latex paint needs it above 60 degrees to cure properly, so we schedule past cold snaps and wet stretches instead of rushing a coat on and hoping.

Do you paint the trim and fascia too?

Yes. Siding, trim, fascia and soffits can all be part of the job. Tell us what you want covered at the visit and it shows up on your quote in plain language.

What if there’s rotten wood under the paint?

We point it out before we paint over it. Bad boards need to be dealt with first, and siding removal and replacement is work our crews already do every week.
